Public Benefit

Reporting On Public Benefit Under Charities Act 2006 (As Amended)
In our activities, the Board of Trustees keep in mind Her Majesties Charity Commission guidance on public benefit at our board meetings. Our core activity and focus remains providing dog training classes in obedience and ring craft. This benefits the public by creating and promoting responsible dog owners and well trained dogs, which undoubtedly enhances public and community safety, by reducing the threat from dangerous dogs. In addition our activities in canine welfare, dog owners representation and youth education schemes, is of direct benefit to the public as it assists with the development of a society which is aware of relevant dog legislation and in respect of promoting and educating responsible dog owners; our activities in ensuring dog owners are aware of the need to clear up after their dog, maintains public safety and hygiene. Our ring craft training, dog shows, Good Citizen Dog Scheme and Annual Award activities promote self discipline, sportsmanship and encourage personal achievement and development. We welcome all people, regardless of personal background, faith, sexuality, gender or personal circumstances and we believe this open approach benefits and enriches the whole community as it encourages diversity, openness and the opportunity to share skills, aptitudes and life experiences.
