Undoubtedly the biggest and best event on the trusts social calendar and now a popular attraction is the chance for all members and their canine friends to get together and have a fun evening. There is always lots of festivities including games, quizzes and prizes. We also have a tombola and there is always a special VIP visitor (Santa) for the dogs and children. Also many people get their thinking heads on and take part in the dog fancy dress competition, which always has some unique entries! The event also includes a fish and chip tea.
The trusts Annual Awards also take place at the party, including the trusts highest award “Member Of The Year”. The winner is presented with the William Dickens Memorial Trophy which is 19 inches high and is made of silver, and worth in excess of £1000. Because of the value of the trophy, the trust retains it and the winner is presented with a smaller trophy to keep for a year. There are also a number of other awards given out. The 2013 party will take place on the Wednesday 11th December 2013. Tickets must be pre-booked, and is open to trust members only.
