Bronze Obedience Course
Aim, Eligibility & Assessment The course aims to lay down a solid foundation for education and basic obedience training. On successful completion of the course dogs will respond to their handlers, carry out basic commands and the handlers will have an awareness of the responsibilities of dog ownership and canine welfare. The course will consist of between 8 and 10 dogs. The course is not competitive and is relaxed and informal. The course focuses around the progress of a dog and its handler over the period of the course. The course aims to produce a dog that will walk and behave in a controlled manner on lead, will stay in one position on command, will allow its owner to clean, groom and inspect it, and also to come when called. The course also aims to provide the handlers with a basic knowledge of understanding and training their canine companion. The course is open to all dogs that have completed the Puppy Foundation Course. Course Contents
