Advanced Obedience Course

Aim, Eligibility & Assessment
The Advanced course is for those dog and handlers that have passed the Central Bedfordshire Canine Trust Gold Award and that are now progressing with advanced exercises.

The course is open to all dogs which have passed the Gold Obedience Courser, there is no age limit.  The test is non-competitive, the course spirit is to produce happy, contented dogs, which are well behaved, and under the control of handlers who fully understand the responsibilities.

  3. Advanced Off Lead Heelwork
  4. Retrieve 
  5. Out Of Sight Stays

On Completion
On successful completion of the course (min. 5 attendances required) all dogs will receive a certificate of attendance. On week seven, your trainer will evaluate your dog and those successful handlers and dogs will be awarded the Central Bedfordshire Canine Trust - Advanced Obedience Certificate.

What Do You Need To Bring?
You need to bring you and your dog. You also need to bring a suitable collar and lead (collar must have ID disc). In addition we advise you bring some treats and a pooh bag. Please ensure you wear suitable, safe and flat footwear. Well behaved children and other family members are welcome to attend and watch, although only one actual handler is allowed per dog. Refreshment and toilet facilities are available at the venue, along with free car park. In addition the venue is next to a large park, where you may exercise your dog.

IT IS CRUCIAL THAT YOU PICK UP ANY FOULING CAUSED BY YOUR DOG.



Progression
On completion of the Central Bedfordshire Canine Trust Advanced Obedience Course, participants may continue in this class to refine their skills and enter a Central Bedfordshire Obedience Champion testing session to be examined for their Champion Certificate.

Enrolment for this course must be in advance, you cannot simply turn up. Enrolment is online (using the link above or below), if you enrol online you will have the option of securely paying with your debit/credit card or Paypal account. Course Fees

The Advanced Course for existing members is £35 which includes all fees.
For new members the cost is £45 which includes all fees, and one years membership to the trust.

Course fees are non refundable, unless the course is cancelled.
