The Central Bedfordshire Canine Trust is pleased to offer our members and supporters a fantastic trip to the The Theatre Royal, Dury Lane in London's West End to see the funniest musical in town SHREK!!
Join Shrek (Nick Lindsay), our unlikely hero, and his loyal steed Donkey (Richard Blackwood) as they set off on a quest to rescue the beautiful (if slight temperamental) Princess Fiona (Amanda Holden) from her tower guarded by a fire breathing love-sick dragon. Also stars Nigel Harman. The world of fairy-tales is turned upside down in an all singing, all dancing, irresistible mix of adventure, laughter and romance, fantastic for audiences of all ages (not just children)!
The trip includes full coach travel there and back, door to door, picking up from Kensworth Village Hall Car Park on Friday 7th October 2011 at 4.45pm and arriving at the theatre in plenty of time for a 7.30pm show start.
Cost including show ticket and full return coach travel is £55 per person. (Normally ticket prices alone is £65)
For bookings please contact the trust office on 01582 873614, £20 deposit per person required on booking, remainder required before the 15th September 2011. Limited tickets available on a first come, first served basis.
Central Bedfordshire Canine Trust in partnership with the National Lottery – Big Lottery Fund, is exceptionally proud to announce and confirm that its new Canine Sports Faculty and Training Venue will open for Flyball on Sunday 14th August 2011, followed by Agility on Sunday 11th September 2011. Booking for both Agility and Flyball classes is now open and filling up fast!
Since September 2010, the trust, headed by Chief Executive; Gary Gregory, has been working hard initially to secure Lottery Funding for the project and then working on getting the project up and running.
The new Canine Sports Faculty will for the first time in Central Bedfordshire provide top class facilities, which will jointly serve both Agility and Flyball enthusiasts, from pet owners wanting to have fun right the way through to regular competitors. The new Faculty boasts completely new, full size and Kennel Club Regulation competition agility equipment and two completely new Kennel Club and British Flyball Association full size Flyball Lanes with twin hole boxes.
But the project isn’t simply about providing training classes, the new Faculty hopes to be at the forefront of Canine Sports techniques and innovation, with a high quality team of coaches and trainers.
In addition to encourage everybody to become involved in canine sports, a new flagship “Agility & Flyball For All!” funding scheme has been set up, whereby all Children under 18 years of age and any adult on a low income, can receive FREE Agility or Flyball training at the faculty.
Gary Gregory, Chief Executive of the trust said; “We are exceptionally excited about the opening of the new Canine Sports Faculty, it has been nearly a year in the planning and there has been many hurdles to overcome, our grateful thanks to Sir Robin Radford MBE, the Big Lottery Fund and of course our fantastic team of Trustees, Committees and Volunteers.”
A Big Lottery Fund Spokesman added; “We are delighted to be able to partner and fund this exciting new faculty. This is the first time we have become involved in a canine sports project and we hope that lots of people will come along and use the new facilities. We live in an age where it is increasingly important for everybody, especially children, to become active and this canine sports faculty provides top class facilities, free to Children and adults on low incomes. We feel that providing the facilities provides the local community with a great, fit, fun and friendly alternative to traditional sports and gives local dog owners fantastic, affordable, fun, facilities on their door step."
